I have gotten the same kind of comments. Im 30 years old and im fairly successful and I have a beautiful fiancee. I also collect cards. I also have a blog to. Some people have called me a "kid" and made fun of my hobby in the same way. Its kind if sad, they have no idea what a fun and fascinating hobby it is. I blog for the same reason. Thank you for sharing that.
Thanks for the comment, I don't usually care about what people think, it's my hobby and I love it period. It made me upset cause I know who it was, and he couldn't tell me to my face he had to resort to posting in some random aggie website they I would've never checked had I not noticed it on my traffic sources and it stood out. Haters will be haters, it's all good!
Here's a comment for your blog. Some people have nothing better to do than tear people down. If you keep the blog up, you'll get more comments and more followers and then more comments...etc. Do what you want and don't worry about them (it looks like you already know that!)
Don't let it bother you man. Apparently there's a huge group of "sad" bloggers out there who enjoy their hobby and have a lot of passion for it. I do agree, it would have been nice to say something to your face, but some people just don't have the intestinal fortitude to do such things. Seems to me like they are the sad ones...
Hey there. Just an FYI, I check out and enjoy your blog. Keep doing it (collecting and blogging) for you. It's a fun and harmless hobby. As a matter of fact, I've been toying with a way to "borrow" your Top 100 idea.
In a few short months of chatting, blogging and trading, I've found that sports card bloggers are some of the kindest and coolest people around.
I ended up getting an apology from the guy who I had assumed was the one who posted that on that forum. It was very sincere, and sounded like he deeply regretted what he posted. Sometimes it's like the old saying goes "think before you speak...or type" as in this matter

I get ripped for being a 26-year-old collector and card-blogger everyday at least once a day. The sad part is, it's my wife that does it.
