Box Break: 2017 Donruss Elite Football

So after a pretty successful Bowman Platinum break, I felt like I was due for a letdown and typically football does that to me. Elite looked like a fun product to bust and so I bit the bullet and ordered a box and finally got to open it yesterday. Here's what I got

Rookies
Amara Darboh (#442/499)
Deshaun Watson (#418/499)
Sidney Jones (#387/499)

Red Parallel
Todd Gurley (#118/149)

Purple Parallel
Thomas Rawls (#36/99)
Zach Cunningham RC (#13/99)
Adam Shaheen RC (#34/99)

Orange Parallel
Taco Charlton RC (#10/25)

Aspirations
Jameis Winston (#54/97)

Face to Face Purple Parallel
Tom Brady/Ben Roethlisberger (#6/49)

Fired Up
Tom Brady (#281/299)

Family Ties
Travis/Jason Kelce (#219/299)

Rookie Elitist
Christian McCaffrey

Man Coverage
Ronnie Lott

College Ties
Jimmy Graham/David Njoku

Title Waves
Terrell Davis

Home Field Advantage
J.J. Watt

Pro Bowl Standouts Jersey

Eli Manning

Turn Of The Century Auto
John Ross (#44/99)

Pen Pals Auto
John Ross

Overall Thoughts: Well, very satisfied with the break! I usually complain about getting multiple hits of the same player, because usually the player sucks but I'll take two autos of John Ross (one of them on card) over some of the other guys in the set all the time! I really like the look of the base set (sooooo shiny!!) and inserts too. It was cool pulling a couple of Brady inserts (one numbered to 49) and then of course pulling the DeShaun Watson rookie was nice. The Eli Jersey is filler but overall a very fun and successful break! I kept the mojo going! Here's pics of the cards!

Oh man was this a fun break. I think I did pretty good Autograph wise to say the least, two different Torres and a DeGrom numbered to 25! Pulled 3 Judge Base, Two Belly Bases, and 3 total Belly inserts, not to mention multiple copies of other rookies such as Bregman, Swanson, Moncada etc. I never do prospect driven products but I had a BLAST with this! I actually went to another Wal Mart today and they had 4 blasters still. I picked them up but will try to flip them on Ebay and see if I can make a little money. Definitely worth picking up!! Here's pic of the better cards!

Box Breaks: 3 Blasters of 2017 Bowman

Like I said, I'm totally HOOKED on this baseball craze. With one of the most LOUSY basketball seasons of all time, not only because of the predictability of the Finals, but a horrible weak rookie class, it's nice to sink my teeth into something that's ON FIRE like baseball is. Even Retail is being bought at a record pace seems like, with everyone searching for Aaron Judge  cards. I decided to take a shot at three Blasters of Bowman baseball. I don't typically do Bowman breaks, but I decided to give it a whirl. Here's what I got

Blaster 1

Bowman Buyback (1:12)
Ian Kinsler 2007 Bowman Silver

Silver Parallel (1:71)
Matt Manning (#314/499)

Reynaldo Lopez

Silver (1:71)
Ryan Braun (#374/499)

Talent Pipeline (1:11)
Chase Vallot/Ryan O'Hearn/Jorge Bonificio

Overall Thoughts: Well..nothing big, but did pull an auto and a Judge Rookie. I'm also a big fun of the Bowman 1951 and 1992 Inserts. They look pretty cool. A Fun rip considering how much the hobby stuff is going for. Here's some pics of my pulls.

It's definitely going to be a fun weekend!

Well..I got myself some ripping to do this weekend! The highly anticipated Bowman Platinum hit Wal Mart shelves this week and they have been selling like HOT CAKES. People are having difficult finding these as they contain Cody Bellinger's first official Rookie Card. I lucked out and while I was at work, asked my Dad (my parents are the greatest by the way) to swing by our local Wal Mart just to check if by chance they had them in stock, in reality thinking yeah right they probably don't. My Dad was there AT THE PERFECT TIME...they stocking the new cards as he got there. I had him pick up all the Bowman Platinum they had 2 Collector Boxes, 4 Blasters, and 8 Hanger Packs. If that wasn't enough, my orders for Elite and Topps Tier came in earlier this week. I just hadn't had a chance to open them yet, along with 3 Bowman Blasters I picked up at Wal Mart last weekend. If anything, it should be a fun journey for sure! Hopefully I pull some nice cards to make it even better! I'm going to start with the Bowman Blasters tonight and open the rest throughout the Weekend. Can't wait to get started!!

Box Break: 2017 Topps Series 1 Baseball

This whole Aaron Judge spectacle has been very fun to follow this baseball season. It's gotten me hooked on baseball cards for the first time in a long while. Yes, I dabble in baseball every now and then, but Judge has me hooked this season. Now it's too late to delve into earlier season products which prices have gone THROUGH THE ROOF FOR..but in the next coming weeks I've got Topps Tier 1 coming in (before the price went up) Topps Stadium Club, and Allen & Ginter all coming in. I decided to get a box of 2017 Topps off Ebay which was only $60 thanks to a $15 dollar coupon. Felt that reasonable to give it a shot. Worst case scenario, hope to pull at least one Judge base rookie. Let's see what I got!

Negative (1:135)
Edinson Volquez

Major League Materials Relic (1:46)

Prince Fielder

Overall Thoughts: Well, got the Judge rookie, which I know, isn't the hardest card to pull in the world, but it's still to pack pull it rather than just buy offline. Other than that though, pretty basic box of Topps that's pretty underwhelming for the most part. The Prince Fielder relic couldn't be more of a boring pull and the only other card worth talking about is the Negative parallel of Edinson Volquez which is a 1:135 pack pull..but it's Edinson Volquez. Anyways, wasn't expecting too much out of Flagship Topps. Here's a sampling of the insert cards and hits of the break.
