Box Breaks: 2 Boxes of 2017-18 Noir Basketball

Ok..so here's the break I've been anticipating all weekend. The Heritage was a pleasant surprise, the Chrome was what it was, I expected that to be a bloodbath and it was, but this..I have some expectations for this. So besides the deep rookie class, the big selling point of Noir is Charles Barkley having his first certified autos in over 20 years in this product. It would be AWESOME to pull one, but there's plenty of other good stuff to pull as well. I have historically done well with Noir the past two years, in fact if you recall, my #1 pull of last year was a Kobe Auto Patch from Noir. So here we go...I'm really banking on this salvaging this weekend and ending the weekend with a bang.

Overall Thoughts: Well..THANK GOODNESS for the Giannis Spotlight Signature because once again this was going in contention for worst break of the year. The Spotlight Signatures one of the most desirable autos in Noir and you can see why when looking at them. Absolutely beautiful cards. Even with the Giannis (which is about a $300 card) this break was unbelievably brutal with the only cards worth talking are the Grant Hill Gold Noir Auto and Dennis Smith Jr. Redemption. The base cards are really nice and it was cool to pull a Lonzo but otherwise ugh..why CODY F'N ZELLER has a plain ol white swatch jersey in a $500 per box product is absurd and beyond me. Well..I guess it ended with a mini bang because the Giannis was the last card of box 2, but damn is it bittersweet to pull such a great card and to still have gotten destroyed in the break.

Success/Failure: JUST BARELY a success thanks to the Giannis. The lower level crap they put in such expensive boxes is ABSURD. Before the last two cards I hit (Hill and Giannis) I was like STILL $800 in the hole. Ridiculous to have so little value as a whole but that's Panini for you.  Pics of the cards
