Box Breaks: 4 Boxes of 2017 Topps Stadium Club Baseball Hobby

Topps Stadium Club baseball was the brand that brought me back into collecting last year. I dunno, something about the photography just pulled me in and it was the first cards I preordered in route to returning to this hobby. Makes sense I'd give it another whirl this season. Now I luckily preordered mine before they went to INSANE prices (Currently priced at a BONKERS $120 PER BOX!!) and got mine for a little over $63 a box. Overall Thoughts: Well..at least I didn't pay $120 a box for this...Yeesch. Actually it was a pretty solid start in Box #1. A Gurriel autograph to #25 an Moncada Chrome Refractor rookie, along with a 1st Day Issue Card, and a Photo Variation. I thought this was start of something good...but it all in went downhill fast and never came close to recovering. The photography is top notch, but man...these autographs are BADDDD. I really wish card companies wouldn't jack prices up of stuff with these "guaranteed hits" when 80% of the "hits" are pretty awful. I'd be more happy with products like Stadium Club having higher odds on autos but a smaller autograph checklist, then promising two autos of guys that literally have no value in this hobby. Like 1:3 gold parallels are worth more than some of these guys autos. Just like last year, I got absolutely BLASTED on the autos with outside of Gurriel and Ryon Healy (who's auto isn't even a $10 card) just a bunch of scrubby autos. The parallels weren't that great either, I only got some good names in the 1:3 gold parallel and even with THOSE, the number of stars I pulled was maybe 4 or 5. It was cool getting a couple of Judge base rookies, but after those two cards I hit in Box 1 (which I literally hit out of the first 4 packs of cards), there was NOTHING exciting afterwards. My advice on this product, if you must, buy blasters, this is 100% avoidable at it's current price point. Hell, I got destroyed at HALF it's price point. Just a massacre. Safe to say my lucky streak is O-V-E-R. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come with 6 Boxes of Allen & Ginter and 3 Optic on the way. Here's pics of the cards

  1. I know this sounds crazy, but is there any way I could get one of the empty boxes, if it is broke down. I am an Indians fan, and Lindor is my favorite player on tbe team.

  2. Congratulations on scoring boxes of this stuff. I'd love to open up a box, but my wholesaler has already jacked up the price.

    1. Yeah, there's just no way paying $120 for this stuff makes any kind of sense. It also looks like I'm gonna have to go the retail route for Chrome because that stuff is like $150 a box now
