Overall Thoughts: Well...I just haven't had good luck with Wrestling products. This is my 3rd box and none of the pulls have been that great. Luckily this was a low price gamble so I'm not too upset. I like the 1985 Topps Baseball design used. There are 3 inserts that you get 1 per pack (wasn't gonna list them all because you get 72 cards of them) the Then & Now set, which has a pic of a WWE Superstar in their early days and current, Rookie Of The Year (I like this insert set) which starting from 1983 picks a standout "rookie" for the WWE that year, and NXT Callups, which just seems like an Alumni set for wrestlers who started in NXT. The only other inserts besides the Parallels are the NWO Tribute set. Again, I wish there were harder to find different inserts, only the parallels can be tough, but I've come to accept that's how WWE Topps Products work. I did pull a Finn Balor Silver Parallel (silvers are 1 per box) so not a bad guy to pull as the first ever WWE Universal Champion. My hits were bla, a Sheamus 1/1 Printing Plate (3rd ever 1/1 pull but two of them have been printing plates) and Jimmy Uso Relic card. Don't like that the Printing Plate counts as a "hit/relic", but oh well. All in all, fun at the very least. Here's pics of some of the cards!

 photo 20160905_101553_zps2km8dhpx.jpg
So tonight is one of the night's I look forward to the most every year. It's the night of our Fantasy Football Draft. This is the 7th year of the "Wane McGarity Bowl" and I'm looking to regain my championship form from a couple years back. To get even more pumped for Football season to begin, I decided to try a couple boxes of 2016 Donruss. I felt this would be a fun cheap rip ($55 a box) and provide a few hours of entertainment before the big event tonight. Here's the results of my two box break

Overall Thoughts: Donruss definitely delivered on entertainment in spades! There are TONS (and I mean TONS) of insert sets, you typically get 2 per pack, not to mention a nice smattering of numbered inserts as well. I really the base set design, a throwback to the 90's baseball set and the inserts for the most part of really cool. I love the Elite series, Rookies, Dominators, Gridiron Kings, Die Cut Press Proofs, hell basically every insert set besides the League Leaders, All Pros, Production Line (to me, these should be relegated to more of a subset than an insert but that's being nitpicky) and of course I'm totally not a fan of Fans of The Game (an excuse to put some celebrities in a football set. I don't need Megan Fox or Run DMC cards in my football collection). I hit a Deandre Washington rookie Auto/Jersey card and thanks to Fantasy Football, I actually do know who that is. He's Latavious Murray's backup and it's a card I'll hold on to just to see what ends up happening to that backfield throughout the season. Jersey cards are filler, but I can't get too much better than Odell Beckham and I like the Changing Stripes Dual Jersey of Emmanuel Sanders featuring pieces of Steelers and Broncos jersey. On the rookie front, you get 1 per pack and it seems to be divided like this....shittier rookies are numbers #301-350 in the set and the better rookies "Rated Rookies" are #351-400. Carson Wentz was the best base rookie I pulled. Seems you get 12 rookies and 12 Rated Rookies per box, so it's kinda tough to pull all of Wentz, Goff, Dak, and Zeke in the same couple boxes. My only tiny small nit pick is getting duplicates of the inserts. Yes I know, these cards are mainly .10-.25 cards but still, there are soooo many different ones, it's kinda inexcusable to me to get 7 insert doubles (including the Inducted insert which you only get one per box and I got Brett Favre in both boxes) in only two boxes. Of course the big hit was yet another awesome hit in a series of them recently. A Terry Bradshaw auto numbered #1 out of 5! Definitely cool and it's the first Bradshaw auto I've ever had in my collection! I know I lot of people crap on Panini but with Donruss it really seems like they got it right. It's a low end product so you don't expect anything jaw dropping, but with all the insert hits and still a solid chance at something good in the form of autos and memorabilia, it's definitely worth a crack at a box or two! Here's a sampling of the inserts!

Box Breaks: 2 Boxes of 15-16 Prizm Hobby Basketball

 photo 20160902_185534_zpsowxf8x6s.jpg
I know I know i said my last break would be my last in a while but Prizm has been sooooo hot recently, it sparked my interst to give it a whirl. The stuff has skyrocketed back up in price (Blowout has it now for $64.99). I was lucky to order mine at The Baseball Card King's website and they were still $49.99. Cheap plug for them, I love ordering from them because free shipping is for orders of $100 (it takes $200 for Blowout and Dave and Adams) and they have pretty competitive prices that sometimes are actually cheaper than Blowout as was the case here. I took the plunge on a couple boxes and here are the results!

Prizm Jumbo were the first boxes I bought when I got back into collecting, and with the recent Prizm craze going on, I decided to give Prizm another whirl and was able to get these still for $49.99 a box. Figured the risk was low enough to see what happens. Glad I did! Here's what I got

Orange Prizm Autograph

Vinny Del Negro (#56/65)

Overall Thoughts: Since this is a set I've previous bought boxes for before, I won't get into details about the cards and just talk about the hits....and once again WHAT A HIT I GOT!! Since I've been back in the hobby this is the 4th Porzingis auto I've pulled, but this is by far the best one as it's A) On card and B) From a Super Hot set in Prizm. Being #25/25 is not too bad either! The other cool card I pulled was a Prizm gold of Matthew Dellavedov which is numbered #1/10. It's a real good looking card and though he's not a superstar, it should still bring back a modest return. Thank goodness for Box #1, because box 2 wasn't the greatest. It's kinda crazy that pulling base rookies of the top guys is tough. I've bought 4 total boxes of this stuff and STILL haven't pulled the base rookies of Devin Booker and Porzingis and have only pulled KAT once. This time, my best base rookie was D'Angelo Russell. I got some nice prizms of veterans (Lebron, Melo, McGrady) and rookies (Stanley Johnson, Trey Lyles) and though the Del Negro auto was a let down, for the price point, once again it was a totally fun break. If you're a basketball fan and want a low risk high reward product I recommend getting some boxes of these and going to the Baseball Card King's website to pick some up at $49.99. Here are pics of this hits

This Week's Pickups

Another week and another week's worth of Ebay Pickups! Let's get to it!

15-16 Select Blue Prizms Karl Anthony Towns RC (#123/199)
 photo 20160830_181419_zpsvnlvynec.jpg
I'm a sucker for die cuts and refractors (or prizms in Panini's case) and I've been trying to add more KAT's to my collection. Really like the look of this card and it didn't cost an arm and a leg

13-14 Select Red Hot Prizms Lebron James (#28/49)
 photo 20160830_181325_zps81fmajza.jpg
Believe it or not, this is only the 2nd card (excluding base cards) of Lebron that I have in the box I keep my better cards. His cards are just way expensive and I've been focusing more on last year's rookie class than him, but again, Prizm technology caught my eye and I grabbed this.

15-16 Prizm Light Blue Prizm Kristaps Porzingis RC (#61/199)
 photo 20160830_180710_zpswtlyf9rj.jpg
So right now 15-16 Prizm is a super hot set, ironically the easier to find silver prizms (which are unnumbered) are the ones commanding pretty high prices. It seems like collectors are treating these like Panini's version of Topps Chrome which is resulting in the sudden spike in price. So far, the other parallels (which there are many) haven't done the same, but just in case, I picked up the Light Blue Porzingis numbered to 199. It cost me under $20, so who knows, maybe these will catch on too. It doesn't hurt that the cards look nice!
15-16 Prizm Red Ruby Prizm Karl Anthony Towns RC (#48/350)
 photo 20160829_144242_zpsgpczda2r.jpg
Just like the Porzingis Light Blue Parallel, I had the opportunity to win this Ruby Red Parallel of KAT and I went for it. Another nice Towns rookie to add the collection!

15-16 Noir Game Used Jersey Patch/Auto Grant Hill (#28/49)
 photo 20160901_181715_zpsbbeimq6b.jpg
It's good to see Grant Hill is a more abundant signer than he was during my first go around of collecting. I was never able to add him to my collection. When I saw this, I loved it. Cool looking patch and on card auto to boot!
