Case Breaks: 1 Case of 2018 Topps Heritage High Hobby

So 2018 Heritage High was one of the most anticipated releases of the year thanks to a red hot rookie class and also it's the first product with Juan Soto Pack Issued Autos. Initially this stuff was selling around $110-$120 a box, but it has since come down to more reasonable prices. I decided I wanted to grab a case and I got it at what I thought was a reasonable price. I really wish I wouldn't have bothered because Spoiler alert and surprise surprise it SUCKED. So here's what I got

Overall Thoughts: 2nd worst case break behind Finest. So frustrating. First of all (and I did know this, so it's not like it caught me by surprise) the set is small (like 225 cards) and the base set outside of the top 4 rookies is VERY WEAK. Like Ichiro and J.D. Martinez are the only stars so expect a TON of no namers and basically a box completes a set so lots a repetition. The only way that works in your favor is you basically get the big 4 in every box (most of the time). I ended up with 12 Sotos, and I believe 10 Ohtanis, 10 Acunas, and 11 Gleybers so that's good. Unfortunately..for most boxes THOSE are the BEST CARDS YOU GET. Or at least that's how it was for me. Yes, the Andujar auto is a SUPER solid hit, and the Fingers Red Auto is OK, but that's just not even close to being enough to carry a break. I'm not even upset at the hits (though I am pissed that of course, because my luck tends to side on the awful side, I got a 3 autograph case when most cases average 4) it's the PARALLELS and VARIATIONS that should help carry a break and they did me NO favors. Yes, I pulled the easier 1 per box actions of Ohtani and Gleyber, but that's literally it. The Chrome shit sucked (outside of the 1 easy purple refractor of Soto) the other variations were shitty. It was just a bad, unenjoyable break and it basically ruined my mood for the weekend. I wish I had never bought this crap. I'll never learn my lesson..sigh..the negatives about being a breaker. I don't even feel like showing the cards really. I'm just going to show the "better" ones so to speak
