Cardfest Day 3 & 4 Recap!

Well this ended up going longer than expected thanks to Christmas Activities (like shopping and visiting family) so this break ended up taking 2 days. Why you ask? So when I started I had 10 Mega Boxes and 20 Value Packs of 2018 Topps Chrome Update. I ended up getting 22 more Value Packs, so now it's 42 Value Packs and 10 Mega Boxes. So it became a Topps Chrome Update Weekend!

So if you follow this product, the main drive is Soto Topps Chrome Update Rookies since he doesn't have a ton of rookies to choose from. He's got autos in this along with Chrome Parallels and these can only be found at Target. Topps made a TON of this stuff, but honestly although 42 value packs and 10 Mega Boxes sounds like a TON of money to spend on this stuff, in actuality it wasn't nearly as much as you'd think. Multiple times the last couple of months, Target was running either a 20% all trading cards promotion or a  $25 off a $100 purchase promotion. There was even one sale where it was 10% off all trading cards plus $25 off a $100 Purchase plus of course the 5% you get back for using the red card. At those prices, it's not only worth the risk to buy a ton, but it's a ton of rip to rip. Hits are very difficult to come by, but I did manage 7 autos, with Victor Robles and Walker Buehler being the best of them. Considering the checklist is full of a ton of bad names, I'll take what I got despite there being no huge cards. Also I pulled a TON of all the top rookies including Soto himself. 9 Base Rookie Cards, and 10 Rookie Debut cards. Definitely cards to just hold onto and see what happens if Soto does indeed evolve into a legit superstar. This was the biggest retail break I had of the Cardfest and there's only one retail product left before we delve into Hobby stuff. Here's pics of the cards!

  1. Congratulations on pulling all of those Sotos! The Ozuna and Buehler autos are nice too.
